Step
2 - Consultation:
Email
or phone us for a consultation. Describe what you want, tell us about
your family tree such as how big it is, how many photos you have,
how much you want to spend and so forth. We will work with you providing
suggestions and advice on how to best present your family tree.
If
necessary and/or should you so choose, we will input your genealogy
records and information into your existing genealogy software to upload
to an online database. There is an additional charge for this
service that will be factored into the quote. If you don't
have a genealogy software, you can download the free Personal Ancestral
File from FamilySearch.org by clicking on the link to your right.
Step
3 - Quote & Deposit:
We
will give you a quote based on that information. If the quote is acceptable,
a deposit of 50% is required. Once payment is received, we will begin
designing your site.
This
process could take from a few days to several weeks, depending upon
how large and complex your site is to be. This may involve additional
communications with you via email or phone, if necessary. There will
be no charge for these phone calls.
Step
4 - Review:
Prior
to finalizing the design, you will be able to review the website we've
created for you online to make sure you are completely happy with
the result. This will ensure that we have understood your requests
and it is also the time in which you can make any last minute changes
or adjustments before the final design is made.
Step
5 - Launch:
Once
we have received your approval of the finished design and balance of
payment, your website goes live online at a web host of your choice.
If you don't have a web host, we will assist you in finding one that
fits your budget. This is not a fee you will pay Origins
Website Design but the web host. There are some free web hosts out there
but bear in mind that you will have to put up with their advertising
banners which is how they are able to host your site for free.
If
you are not happy in any way with the website you ordered, Origins
Website Design guarantees
you a Full Refund up to 30 days after completion.
Step
6 - Maintenance:
Origins
Website Design
will regularly maintain and update your site, adding additional photos
and new genealogy content you've acquired, as long as you wish. There
will be an additional fee for this service.
